The BEST Things In Life Are FREE!

I say this because Spam & Spaghetti is one of my favorite dishes and because it was actually FREE!  One of the best things about couponing and stockpiling is the option to shop from your pantry after a long day of working and if you just don't feel like cooking.  All the ingredients used to make this dish were in my pantry so it was FREE!  I was able to use the can goods that would expire in the next 3 months.  YAY for not having to throw away food!  Wednesday nights at the Nuga's is my night to cook!  Ugh, and EVERY Wednesday I dread the thought of having to cook... but not as much as I dread eating at the Nuga's on "Corned Beef & Saimin Tuesdays".  LOL, just kidding Lolo:)

How to Shop on Ebay.com for Coupons

This post is dedicated to JB:)  Thanks for your requesting this information, it is such a great post!  So much information in this one post thanks to the two coupon bloggers but not enough information online.  HTH! (Hope This Helps)

Getting Started:

1. Create a Paypal account - many sellers on ebay accept payment via Paypal ONLY.  It's free!  It will take a few days to become "verified" but if you add a credit card to your account, you can pay with your credit card instantly while waiting for your bank account to get verified.  It's a good idea to get verified; just as we look for "top sellers" (or trusted sellers), they look to see if you are verified.
2. Create an ebay account - register for an account.  If you are using your credit card through Paypal, you don't have to enter one on ebay.  Paypal is very secure.  

Shopping for Coupons on ebay:

• Enter "coupon" in search box: if you don't, you'll end up with all kinds of products and not coupons.
• "Top-rated Seller" Status: When I look to purchase coupons on ebay, I look for those sellers who are "Top-rated Sellers".  These are people who have sold to others and have received positive feedback.  I trust these people (Not with my life but you get the picture. LOL); the order is processed quickly, they ship as soon as they receive payment, etc. I usually buy in increments of 100 so I look for those sellers that have five or more of the same coupon.  You can tell this by the image that's posted or by the post itself. (It's identical)
• BUY IT NOW: Don't waste your time with bidding.  Many sellers offer "buy it now" coupons you can purchase immediately.  If you bid, you must (1) outbid other bidders which may end up costing you a lot more, and (2) you'll have to wait for the bid to end and it may take a while.  If I'm purchasing more than one set of coupons, I click "buy it now", go back, look for another set from the same seller and "buy it now".  I do this until I have all 100.  However, if you just want the one transaction, move on to...
• Commit to Buy: Make sure you're absolutely sure you want to purchase the item selected.  You have a chance to change your mind here.  Sellers, and ebay, look down on buyers who don't honor the commit to buy.  They will leave you unwanted feedback which can and will be viewed by other sellers.
• Pay: Once you've committed to buy all the coupons you want, you can pay now.  I click on "My ebay" to see my entire order.  Pay for your entire order at once with Paypal.  ebay will redirect you to a Paypal login page.  You enter your login information for Paypal not ebay on this page and it will ask you to confirm your order.
• Confirmation: Once your purchase has gone through, you will see the confirmation page and you should receive a confirmation email almost immediately.  Click on "My ebay" to make sure everything on your order has been paid for.

Extreme Couponing Tip: Buying Coupons Online

If your area doesn’t carry coupon inserts or you don’t have time to clip your own coupons, buying coupons from places like TheCouponClippers.com can be a good route as long as you have the know-how.

Product description: Search for coupons by typing in key words like “Quaker coupons” or a specific coupon, such as “$0.75/2 Quaker coupon”. Check the product description carefully–it should say “original manufacturer coupons” and, ideally, list the source (e.g. the insert and date, the magazine name and issue number, etc).

Fine Print: Make sure the coupon covers exactly what you want to buy, and look for size or flavor restrictions. Double check the coupon value and how many items it covers. You don’t want to be too rushed and buy what you thought was a $1.00/1 coupon that turns out to be $1.00/2, especially since coupon values do vary by region. Also verify the shipping costs and add that in to the cost per coupon.

Expiration dates: Double check the expiration dates on all coupons you’re considering, and make sure the seller’s shipping time is sufficient to ensure you can use them before they expire. Just because coupons are for sale does not mean they haven’t already expired.

"Sorry TheKrazyCouponLady, I just had to RIP this entirely from your blog and post it "as is" in fear I would miss getting the point across!  This post, Ladies & Gentlemen, will determine if you make it or break it in the couponing industry.  Sometimes we get so addicted with getting the HOTTEST deals that we neglect our main and most important responsibilities. *whistling and looking away*  I am SO guilty of this!  School's been in session for over a week and I haven't even looked at syllabus.  This post is for those that just can't get enough!  LOL.  Yes, I am talking to myself again.  Enjoy!"

Extreme Couponing Tip: Finding Balance

Anything as rewarding and fun as couponing can be addicting. Once you start couponing and saving big, it can be hard to stop or slow down. Many newbies, after experiencing their first coupon “high”, that rush when you save big, want to cash in on every sale at every store. This can lead to burn out causing important things, like family or education, to take a back seat. So what’s a krazy couponer to do? Read on!

Stockpile: Once you gain a reasonable stockpile, you’ll be heading to the store less often. You’ll already have all the shampoo and deodorant you need for the next year, and your cereal stash will put your neighbors to shame. A stockpile also frees you from having to run to the store every afternoon to buy what you need for dinner. Instead you can go “shopping” in your stockpile and spend more time cooking, studying, or having family time.

Set your pace: Couponing is not a sprint, so there’s no need to dash about to every store as fast as you can to beat every one else. Couponing is not a big conspiracy that is going to shut down as soon as the stores find out. Your worst enemy will be yourself if you take on too much and become burnt out. Set a pace you can maintain. Sitting down and scheduling couponing time (clipping, organizing, planning out trips, and shopping) can be very beneficial. Know when to slow down, focus on other things, and you’ll find couponing to be a relaxing, enjoyable, and profitable hobby!

Start small: Though it’s tempting to go to 6 different stores every week to get all the great deals, stick with one or two when starting out. Learn the coupon policy, and focus on those weekly rock bottom prices. Seasoned coupon shoppers may frequent one or two grocery stores and a drugstore each week.

Sale cycles: Remember that this is not the one and only time that toothpaste will be free or pasta will cost under a quarter. The industry standard for coupon and sale cycles is three to four months. Instead of buying a three-year supply of spaghetti sauce all at once, just get enough to get your family by for three to four months. For non-perishables, having a year supply is a good target.

A "newbie" couponer wanted to test the waters this evening so I thought I'd take her to see if any of the P&G Promo items were in stock.  Fortunately, she was able to get everything she had coupons for. To my pleasant surprise, I found two GREAT unadvertised deals.  I found Oxy face cleanser and wipes on sale for $2.99 - $1.00 off any OXY Product, any $1/1 (10-1-11) NestleRP-7/31 = $1.99!  Not bad for Oxy.  The other unadvertised deal I found was in a cart under everything:

Vick's NyQuil and DayQuil were on clearance for $2.09 - $2.49

I bought 8 products at $2.09
and 12 products at $2.49
